Welcome to Montezuma, Iowa, U.S.A., where we vacation in our own backyards and choose from a wide array of goods and services that are available right here in town.
Some of our kids look like the ones Norman Rockwell used to paint, and chances are you'll find some of them in our stores, too.
Are our storefronts fancy? For the most part, no. But, we're not fancy, either.
Will you find everything you need here? If not, chances are we'll tell you where you might look next. We're that way. We want to help.
Is it safe to shop here? Sure, just like it's safe to walk here, to bicycle, to jog, to run . .whatever.
Our retail sector is like our community. It's a work in progress.
Montezuma is a real place. We're who we are.
Those "Welcome to Montezuma" signs on the lamp posts downtown aren't kidding.
Montezuma, like many small towns in Iowa, was once the hub of a strong agricultural area. We are still surrounded by farms, but our nature has changed. We're more of a commuter town now. People drive from here to work . .and drive here to work.
The roads run both ways! That goes for shopping, too.
We offer good value for fair prices and there's service after the sale.
Because we're small, you won't always find specialty retailers. Many places offer multiple lines of goods and services.
In Montezuma, you can buy:
Quilting fabric and notions, toys for your cat or dog, a lawn mower, a deli sandwich, a design for your building, a new bed, something to unclog your drains, a 2010 Camaro, glass installation for your vehicle, service for your air conditioner, and fresh meat.

And, lightly-used clothes, a unique greeting card, boxed chocolates, a futon, a haircut, a boat, a shampoo, service for your computer, a hunting or fishing license, dance lessons, fitness training, package delivery service, a scalp massage, a dozen roses, gun gear, golf carts, a pizza, monuments, physical therapy . .and another pizza!
